These Terms and Conditions govern your use of DecorPatch. By reading, printing or sharing material from this site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
Content and licence
DecorPatch publishes repair methods, material guides, photographs and related editorial content. All text, images and video are our property or used under licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view the material and to print or share reasonable extracts for your own repairs and for non-commercial discussion, provided the material is unaltered, credited to DecorPatch, and links back to the original page.
Anything else requires written permission, including scraping methods or images for another website or app, republishing substantial parts of the library, selling our guides, or using our content as training data for a commercial service.
Prohibited uses
- Reproducing, framing or mirroring the site without authorisation.
- Automated harvesting at a volume that degrades our servers.
- Abusive, unlawful or off-topic material in comments.
- Presenting our methods or photographs as your own, or impersonating DecorPatch.
- Attempting unauthorised access to the administration or interfering with site security.
Your submissions
When you send a comment, question or photograph, you keep ownership of it and grant us the right to publish, edit and quote it on the site. Do not submit material you have no right to share, and do not include personal data about other people – including images of a rented property where the landlord or agent is identifiable.
Advertising and sponsored content
The site carries third-party advertising and occasional sponsored placements, always labelled. Advertisers have no editorial control, and a product appearing in an ad slot is not an endorsement by us.
No warranty on results
Our methods describe what happened on the samples and substrates we used. Plaster age, paint chemistry, humidity, temperature and previous repairs vary enormously, and a repair that vanished in our workshop may show on your wall. You are responsible for your own work and for complying with building regulations, permits and tenancy obligations. The Disclaimer sets this out in full.
Third-party links
We link to suppliers, tools and other publications. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DecorPatch is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site, including the cost of remedial work. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount a reader paid to access the content, which for a free site is nil. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and termination
We may amend these terms and may suspend access where they are breached. Material changes appear on this page. The licence and disclaimer provisions survive termination of your use.
