Who you are writing to
Methods are developed and re-tested in our workshop; reader mail is answered by the editorial desk. We work remotely, so email is quicker than any other channel. Please do not send the same message to several addresses – it slows the queue for everyone.
Before you write about a job
Include the guide title or URL, the age and construction of the wall or floor, what is already painted or sealed on it, and what you have already tried. If the problem keeps coming back – damp, a widening crack, a stain that bleeds through primer twice – the answer is usually diagnosis rather than patching, and a local professional who can see the property will help you faster than we can.

DecorPatch is operated as a publishing business. A registered postal address for legal notices is required before most ad networks will verify the site; it will appear here once the company registration details are finalised. Response times
We aim to reply within two working days for advertising and legal mail, and within a week for reader messages. When writing about your personal data, include enough detail for us to find the record – we may need to verify your identity before answering.
